In accordance with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rules and regulations, the Danvers Housing Authority Proposed Revisions to its Administration Plan will be available for a public review and comment period during normal business hours starting November 2nd to December 17th, 2026. The Plan is available for review at the office of the DHA located at 14 Stone Street, Danvers, Massachusetts. The office is wheelchair accessible and reasonable accommodations are available for those requesting assistance.
A public hearing is set for December 17th at 5 pm at 14 Stone Street, Danvers, Massachusetts.
Changes to the plan incorporate Sections 102 and 104 of HOTMA. HOTMA makes sweeping changes to the United States Housing Act of 1937 (1937 Act), particularly those affecting income calculations and reviews. Section 102 changes requirements related to income reviews for Public Housing and Section 8 programs. Section 104 sets maximum asset limits for Public Housing and Section 8 applicants and participants.
To update DHA’s policy documents for HOTMA, and per HUD’s guidance, the DHA is adding an appendix to their Administrative Plan or ACOP that contains the HOTMA policies that will apply to effective actions on or after January 1, 2027. DHA is informing all program participants of the date the DHA will transition to HOTMA policies, January 1, 2027.
